I think our customers need to be aware that scammers are robbing innocent people looking for a job. The company approaching you will look legitimate enough and usually post on large employment sites to appear as though they are looking to hire many employees. Please beware of the job that is too good to be true because it is an old employment scam that has been around forever but now has an updated twist using Bitcoin. This scam has been around for years using traditional funding methods such as Western Union, Wire Transfers, Money Orders, and Bank Drafts. However, they have switched to Bitcoin or other CryptoCurrency as the payment method in modern times.
If you get approached about a new job that entails someone sending you funds via an email transfer to your bank account, you are probably the victim of fraud. The thieves have figured out a way to send stolen funds, which get charged back to your bank account. Typically they will tell you that the job requires that you receive ETF deposits to your bank account, which you then withdraw as cash and go to the local Bitcoin ATM. Then you put money into the Bitcoin ATM and send Bitcoin to a QR code that they have provided you. It is important to remember that once Bitcoin’s sent, it is gone forever; no one can get it back. So never send Bitcoin to someone you don’t know and text us with questions or set up an appointment at the office. To learn more about Crypto, go to our free training sessions at the CryptoNutz Education Group.
Once you deposit the cash into the Bitcoin ATM and send the Bitcoin to the QR code provided by the scammers, they then tell you that you can keep a % of the money for yourself. Next, they will step things up and try to get you to send more Bitcoin faster and faster. They do this because they know it is just a matter of time before people discover something is wrong! Do not fall victim to this old con. Think, “Why would someone pay me so much for such an easy job?” They would never pay an employee that much because no legitimate company would pay that well for such a simple job. So I will sum it up for you…
IT’S NOT A JOB; IT’S A SCAM. SO DON’T FALL FOR IT!
And Listen very carefully now…
